dear lyela, 

what an honor it was to be called your friend. you were always so kind and down to earth, always managing to bring a smile to a stranger's face. i'm reminded of your presence in so many ways - by wearing pink outfits or layered jewelry, seeing orange jeeps, and hearing laughter around me. you had a way of becoming a friend to people. your heart was the biggest gift you had, making everyone feel seen and loved by you. so thank you for always being a friend i needed most, you were truly one of a kind. i love and miss you forever
